Cryotherapy (CryoPen®) Benign Skin Lesion Treatment
We offer a private cryotherapy service for the treatment of common benign skin lesions, carried out by trained pharmacy professionals using a medical cryotherapy device.
Cryotherapy works by applying a controlled freezing spray to the lesion, causing the tissue to break down and gradually fall away as the skin heals.
What can be treated?
Cryotherapy may be suitable for benign (non-cancerous) skin lesions, including:
-
Skin tags
-
Warts and verrucae
-
Cherry angiomas
-
Seborrhoeic keratoses
If there is any uncertainty about the nature of a lesion, treatment will not be carried out and further assessment will be recommended.
Assessment Before Treatment
This service is only suitable for lesions that have been assessed as benign.
-
We do not diagnose skin cancer
-
Suspicious, changing, or pigmented lesions must be assessed appropriately before treatment
-
In some cases, we may recommend a Map My Mole review prior to treatment
